I stopped dating people, because I was so embarrassed about my IBS symptoms popping up at the worst possible times. I hated having to explain my food choices, and I hated to go out dancing with my friends because I knew it would upset me for sure. I used to spend half the night in the washroom, so at some point they stopped asking me out before I could even quit. I was socially isolated for so long before I tried Bowtrol because I simply couldn’t take it anymore. My IBS symptoms were generally quite heavy but not very frequent. The worst part of the symptoms was their unpredictability. I became a nervous wreck because I never knew if “today was the day” that I would feel miserable. Over time they did become more frequent and I was sick about once every three days on average.
